"Telephone coaching, isn't as odd as it sounds as the same things can be done that are done in the workshops. It's really more of a distance learning course, I supply worksheets that we work though together and some that the client completes between sessions with email support in between. Sessions are usually a week apart to start with and then the spacing increases to fortnightly. To make a difference coaches usually recommend a batch of six sessions (no-one wants to have a client have two or three and get no results and suffer negative feedback. With six or more regular sessions a good coach can guarantee results.) A no obligation preliminary session of up to 30 minutes is free.

Sometimes clients come because they have a specific problem (relationships, job dis-satisfaction, confidence etc), because they're somehow stuck or unsure (wanting to start or grow a business) or want to utilise their time and talents in a better way. My niche is creative confidence, helping people to unlock their talents and their creativity to do in life what they really should be doing. I also have experience in overcoming relationship problems. Remember coaching isn't counselling however, it isn't for people who want to explore the past but rather those who want to move forward. People use coaching to pick themselves up and get going and people who are already up and running use coaching to get even better. Most high performing people in the world have a coach of some description; sports-people (obviously), politicians and business leaders.

The main thing my coaching deals with is confidence - that's the route of all issues. It's to do with the self-image. Most of us have a fragile self image and you can only perform within the bounds set by that self image. If it's had a knock, you simply can't perform well until it's strong again. People 'fail' with relationships, money, heath and happiness because they have programmed themselves with limiting beliefs that actually stop them from acting and reaching for the potential that is in reality not that difficult to reach.

The exercises I use are based on NLP, Neuro Linguistic Programming and are widely tested. They help people to reshape their self image, and restructure their beliefs in themselves to be able to effortlessly make changes in their lives and go in the direction they want to go. It a very exciting process. But you have to be willing to embark upon it.

The good thing about coaching is that it's not something that is 'done' to the client: they are given instruction to do it themselves. That's why it has long lasting results."
